CIT (Corporate Income Tax )

CIT is a tax on the profits earned by a company in the Netherlands. The current rate for CIT is 19% for the first €200,000 of taxable profits and 25.8% for taxable profits exceeding €200,000. Companies that are based in the Netherlands or have a permanent establishment in the Netherlands are generally subject to CIT.

If your company is subject to CIT, you’ll need to register for it with the Dutch tax authorities. Once registered, you’ll need to file a tax return every year, which is due within six months after the end of your company’s financial year.

It’s important to keep accurate records of your company’s income and expenses, as this information will be used to calculate your CIT liability. If you have any questions or need help with your CIT registration or returns, Intotax’s team of experienced tax advisors can provide expert assistance.

Wage tax

Wage tax is a tax on the salaries and wages paid by a company to its employees. The current rates for wage tax vary depending on the amount of the salary or wage. Wage tax is generally withheld by the employer and paid directly to the Dutch tax authorities on behalf of the employee.

If your company has employees in the Netherlands, you’ll need to register for wage tax with the Dutch tax authorities. This can also be done online through the tax authority’s website. You’ll need to file a monthly wage tax return.

In addition to wage tax, you may also be required to pay social security contributions on behalf of your employees. Intotax can assist you with all aspects of wage tax registration and returns, including social security contributions.
